Hearing my favorite song on the radio when I start my car
Finding exactly the right amount of a spice or seasoning (or flour or oil or whatever) in my pantry when I'm in the middle of making a recipe
Sleeping through the night and waking up before my alarm, feeling well-rested
Waking up without that stupid ache in my right shoulder
Reaching something on a tall shelf without needing to find a stool
Discovering a convenient parking spot when I'm in a hurry
When the person beside me on a plane also doesn't want to talk and we can ignore each other in a friendly sort of way
Hugging all three of my fully grown offspring inside of a single day
A neighbor who sells (and delivers!) farm-fresh eggs
A neighbor who plows the driveway when it snows
A neighbor who makes amazing cheesecakes
Finding a book I've wanted to read at the public library
The companionable purr of Rose as she settles in on my lap
Former students at church giving me updates on their lives
Watching The Great British Baking Show with D
Speaking in shorthand with D
Opening Insta or FB and seeing a friend has shared a funny reel or meme and it hits just right
The smell of leaves in the fall
Spotting a hummingbird
Getting an appointment scheduled with a receptionist on the first try
Spill it, reader! What little things deserve recognition this Thanksgiving?
