It's back! It's gonna be FABULOUS! And it's FREEEEEE!

Mark your calendars, kids! UntitledTown, Green Bay, Wisconsin's book and author festival is happening September 25-27. No matter your age, your interest, or your ability, there will be something for you at this event! If you're a reader, a writer, a kid, a grownup, a browser, a pantser, a planner, a poet, a storyteller, an eager audience THIS EVENT IS FOR YOU! (Was that all-encompassing enough? EVERYONE belongs at this festival!)

WHERE will UntitledTown take place, you ask? In downtown Green Bay, including The Legacy Hotel, Badger State Brewing, The Art Garage, and the Neville Public Museum.

WHERE will I be?

I blush to tell you, you'll have lots of opportunities to catch up with me. I'll be bopping around attending workshops and panel discussions in various locations Friday night.

Saturday I'll lead two workshops:

Green Bay Public Library 10 a.m. STORY STARS Every story stars a main character, every story starts with a conflict. Young writers will leave this workshop with one fully developed main character and a fistful of plot ideas for their characters’ adventures to kickstart new projects. Show up with your imagination and an adult to take dictation (as needed) and we’ll handle the rest! This workshop is designed for elementary school authors with big dreams and kids who love to tell stories but have never participated in a workshop. All experience levels are welcome — young authors will write during this hands-on workshop.

The Art Garage noon - 1:15 CHARACTER ISSUES Readers show up for a plot, but they stay for the characters. If you want to keep readers glued to your story until the final, breathless page, you need more than just a clever twist—you need beating hearts on the page.

Sunday I'll be knocking around the UntitledTown stomping grounds again, details to come.

Bottom line: if you love books and/or you love to write, UntitledTown is where you belong Sept. 25-27.
