Brandy Schillace spotlights neurodivergence, identity, found families, and murder, of course, in ep. 6 of My Bookcase Slays.
Brandy Schillace is smarter than most of us (she's definitely smarter than me!), and she's using her creativity and intelligence to develop one of my new fave amateur sleuths. Learn all about Jo Jones, the neurodivergent and brilliant star of The Dead Come to Stay, plus Syrian artifacts, the importance of found families, and the coolest thing Brandy keeps on her desk.

I've enjoyed several TV series with neurodivergent protagonists--Astrid and the UK counterpoint Patience come to mind--and I always flash on one of my favorite books, Mark Haddon's The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time, which called our attention to these characters and their world view. Sounds intriguing!
