Advance review copies of Old Habits Die Hard have landed in readers' laps and the early reviews are very encouraging! Behind the scenes I've been busy connecting with book bloggers, writing posts, answering interview questions, and sending out copies of my head shot (thanks again, Brian Fisher!). The Ride or Die Behind Old Habits Die Hard
My publisher (jeez, I feel like such a big shot when I say those words) recommended setting clear goals for this book's release, which I did. Some of these goals are within my control, like getting 10 blogs to promote the book. (I did!)

Some of these goals will take a while to achieve, like growing my subscribers and followers, but this business is more marathon than 5K. The first of my 10 events kick off 3-5 p.m. April 5th at El Jaripeo's in Little Chute with my book launch party and I'll attend Malice Domestic later in April, moderating the coolest panel discussion called Blood on the Page: Libraries and Murder and signing copies of the anthology Murder Most Humorous which will include my short story "Poached."
If that wasn't enough excitement to keep me on the edge of my seat, I've got a girlfriends' weekend and a big trip with B coming up this month! Needless to say, my attention span is wrecked by managing a hundred tiny details and moving parts heaped on top of another round of edits for A Regular Habit (book two, coming out this fall). Life is FULL of good stuff these days.
In closing, because some of you have asked, the BEST way to buy my book on April 2 when it drops is from me in person (the April 5 launch party deal is a sweet one, you get 1 copy and 1 free drink for $15). The second best way is to buy your copy from me, shipped to you for $15 or hand-delivered for $12. Barring those two options, please purchase from your fave indie book store (like Lion's Mouth Bookstore in Green Bay), I know booksellers will be happy to stock it if you ask them. If you don't live near an indie book store, Barnes & Nobles is the next best option, followed by Amazon. If you can't afford to buy a copy, ask your local library to purchase it. No matter how you get your copy, I appreciate you taking time to read this book and drop a review in as many places as you can!
Spill it, reader--what's coming up in your world these days? I'd love to hear about your upcoming events and accomplishments in the comments!
Hi Melissa! I would like to purchase from you! (Amy Stingle)
